MANCHESTER, Tennessee — A$AP Rocky had the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival getting down Sunday night, as the Harlem rapper deftly presented cuts from his 2013 smash debut, Long. Live. ASAP.
Starting off with the album’s title track, he announced, “I came to party … Welcome to my world.” Lead single “Goldie” and “PMW (All I Really Need)” also represented the release, and A$AP went back to his 2011 mixtape, Live. Love. ASAP, for “Peso,” “Purple Swag” and “Brand New Guy.”
The 24-year-old has his bravado down, proclaiming, “You’re stoked for one of the best shows you’re gonna see at this festival.”
A$AP invited a few dozen fans onstage to share his view, bouncing “F—in’ Problems” and leading the crowd in a “Long live A$AP” chant.
“Work (Remix)” closed out the set, as the rapper expressed his gratitude: “Thank you, world. Peace.”
